How StarPath handles information

Effective July 23, 2026Information we collect
Family inquiries and applications may include guardian contact information, student name and grade, program interests, intended start date, goals, support needs, athletic interests, consent records, and information entered in open fields.
Authorized workspace accounts may also contain identity and role information, student records, course and enrollment data, learning evidence, communications, interventions, consent-gated student videos, and system activity history.
The public site records limited first-party page-view events with a temporary anonymous browser-session identifier. It does not use advertising cookies and honors browser Do Not Track.
How information is used
StarPath uses information to respond to enrollment requests, deliver and improve educational services, manage authorized access, maintain academic records, protect the workspace, measure basic site use, and document accountable decisions.
Sharing and selling
StarPath does not sell family or student information. Information may be handled by service providers supporting hosting, secure storage, authentication, communications, malware screening, and school operations, or disclosed when required by law. Uploaded files remain quarantined until security screening is complete; an approved scanning provider may process file contents only for threat detection under StarPath’s provider agreement.
Student records and minors
Student information is limited to authorized users through server-enforced roles and student assignments. Parents, guardians, and eligible students may have additional rights under applicable student-record and privacy laws.
Retention and deletion
Information is retained only as long as reasonably needed for enrollment follow-up, educational operations, recordkeeping, security, and applicable legal requirements. Retention schedules may differ for official academic records.
Your choices
Authorized users may request access, correction, deletion, or processing restriction from the protected portal. Identity verification may be required, and deletion may be limited by academic-record or legal retention duties.
Security
StarPath uses authenticated access, explicit membership, least-privilege roles, scoped student access, encrypted platform storage, file-access checks, quarantine states, and activity logging. No online system can guarantee absolute security.
